As a chef I was impressed by this wonderful book. The hardcover spiralbound format is easy to keep flat and open on the recipe page. The author has not only given step by step instructions on how to cook each recipe but also given handy tips on what to do when things go wrong.
The book starts with utensils and the tools of the kitchen to enable beginners to get a handle on things. The section on spices is very helpful to those unfamiliar with the Indian Pantry.
The dishes are grouped in color coded sections making it a breeze to navigate the book. The author suggests pairings and also meal planning.
I tried a few of the recipes and found them very well presented and easy to follow.
Both beginners and experienced chefs are bound to find something valuable to take away.
The author should follow this tome with one on Non Vegetarian and Tandoori Cooking
    Keep these books coming …

Indian cooking is quite complicated with the use of so many spices. I am lucky ot have found this cookbook by Bharti Saincher as she addresses all the unique ways one can use spices. She gives you a variety of ways to complete the recipes, stove top, slow cooker or using the pressure cooker. The recipes in the book are authentic and give beautiful step by step notes and instructions. I often refer to her website for added clarification. I have made many of my favourite dishes and my family has so enjoyed them. Even my children who are the proud owners of this book have made many dishes and are beginning to feel more confident with their Indian cooking skills. I highly recommend this book to everyone, especially if you are a beginner.
